At the conclusion of last Tuesday night's 13th District Volleyball Tournament at the F-S Gym, the 13th District All-Season Team selections were announced.

The selections were made by the four head coaches in the district: Megan Vincent from Franklin-Simpson, Caleb Sheffield from Logan County, Shannon Booth from Russellville and Stephanie Conquest from Todd County Central.

The selections were made based on the six regular season 13th District matches between each of the four teams.

Seniors Meadow Hall and Shelby Johnston along with junior Alera Barbee were selected from Franklin-Simpson.

"Truly an honor for the coaches to recognize me for my talents that I don't think I have," Meadow Hall said. "District for me is the combination of all the hard work and sweat with the accumulation of all the love we get from family, friends and coaches. My last district tournament was beautiful and it didn't turn out like the way I wanted it to but I am OK with that."

"The last four years of playing volleyball has meant so much to me and to be selected in my final match right here on our court is so bittersweet," Shelby Johnston said. "It's sad that it has come to an end and I gave it my all. I'm just thankful to be recognized and selected for all of the hard work I have put in."

"Thank you to the coaches that selected me," Alera Barbee said. "District play this season was good and tonight's match was the most intense and the best we played all season. I wish we could have won tonight but I am proud of how we played together tonight."

Also selected to the all-season team include: seniors Onakha Fuller and Madelyn Yonts, junior Embry Burgess and freshman Rachel Dezarn from Logan County, senior Brylee Shemwell, sophomore Presley Conquest and freshman Lucy Chester, from Todd County Central, and freshmen Amiyah Collier and Abigayle Miller, from Russellville.
