Former Franklin-Simpson Lady Cat and junior Western Kentucky University Lady Topper golfer Mary Joiner was selected by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as an All-American Scholar.

The WGCA requires athletes to have at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and compete in at least 50 percent of the school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds.

Joiner, who is majoring in finance, carries a cumulative grade point average of 3.89.

She is a third-team selection to the All-Conference USA team as she broke her own single-season average scoring record of 73.9 last season, and produced back to back wins to open the season. Joiner has six career victories, both school and conference records.

Joiner's teammates junior Megan Clarke and sophomore Lizzie Loy were also selected as All-American scholars.
