BOWLING GREEN — Hilltopper Basketball signees Marlon Hunter and Chris McNeal were among the nominees for the 2015 McDonald's High School All-American game, announced Wednesday by the organizers.
The prestigious game will be played April 1 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. The final teams will be announced during the game's selection show on Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
Hunter and McNeal signed with WKU in the early signing period in November and will suit up in 2015-16.
Hunter attends Houston High School in Memphis, Tenn., where he averaged 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals and four assists per game as a junior in 2013-14. Hunter plays for the Arkansas Wings Elite on the prestigious Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) travel circuit, and he led all league players in steals in the summer of 2014.
McNeal is a senior at South Side High School in Jackson, Tenn., where he contributed 19.3 points, four rebounds and four assists per contest as a junior in 2013-14 and helped South Side to a Class AA state championship.
