The Franklin-Simpson Lady Cats soccer team celebrated their season with their banquet last week.
The Lady Cats finished their season as the 13th District Tournament runner up with an overall record of 6-6-1.
Even though the season was not a full season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team had a memorable season including the dramatic penalty kicks round victory in the 13th District Tournament over the Todd County Central Lady Rebels.
In 12 games, senior Kate Noirwood led the team with 24 goals scored and tied for a team high five assists along with junior Anna Walker, who scored six goals. Senior Madison Gregory scored two goals with two assists in nine games played and freshman Kennedi Alexander and junior Elsa Humphrey each scored two goals with an assist. Senior Lexi Phillips also scored a goal with an assist with junior Kaydin Alexander and freshman Sara Norwood each having an assist.
Phillips also spent time as the goalkeeper as she allowed 37 goals with 210 saves for a Goals Against Average of 3.10 with a Goalkeeper Saves Average of 17.5. Junior Aubrey Taylor allowed eight goals with 23 saves for a GAA of 0.7 with a GSA of 1.9.

Alissa Williams is the head coach of the Lady Cats with assistant coaches Julia Lockhart and Chris Reynolds, who is also the head coach of the middle school team.
