Wildcats’ junior Andreyous Miller was selected to the 4th Region Boys’ All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of last Tuesday night’s championship game at E.A. Diddle Arena on the campus of Western Kentucky University. He scored a game high of 25 points in their 53-42 loss to the Clinton County Bulldogs.

At the conclusion of last Tuesday night’s 4th Region Boys Tournament Championship game, 15 players selected for the 4th Region All-Tournament Team was announced.

Franklin-Simpson Wildcats’ junior Andreyous Miller was one of the selections. In the Wildcats’ opening round game against the Clinton County Bulldogs, he scored a game high of 25 points, making 10 of his 18 shots from the floor that included making three of his five shots from the 3-point line along with making both of his free throw attempts. He also added five rebounds, three steals and two assists in 26 minutes of playing time.

“It’s a blessing for real,” Miller said. “My first time receiving an award like this and I am really thankful for it. I was feeling it from the start. Made a few shots early and just tried to keep my momentum.”

“Good for him (Miller) to be selected to the All-Tournament Team,” Wildcats head coach Dee Spencer said. “He played well. He stepped up for us. He deserved the recognition. I just wish that we could have played well around him.”

Players who were selected to the All-Tournament Team include (from Logan County): seniors Dalton Thompson and Jose Nazario and junior Anthony Woodard; (from Allen County-Scottsville): junior Mason Shirley; (from Barren County): sophomore Aden Nyeken; (from Clinton County): sophomore Blake Melton and junior Chase Stines; (from Cumberland County): senior Dawson Smith; (from Bowling Green): senior Dorian Morrison and juniors Isaiah Mason and Turner Buttry and Warren Central seniors: Dre’ Boyd, Kobe Brents and Tayshaun Smith.
