The 2020 football season was quite a bit different for everyone. The season start date was pushed back to September 11th this year. In 2019, the opening game was played on August 23rd.

Logan County hosted Russellville to start the 2020 season. The Cougars gained more yards on the ground and through the air to take the victory, 29-7.

In week two, Russellville got a big 14-12 win over Franklin-Simpson. Jaquis Todd had a rushing touchdown and Chevis Elliott scooped up a fumble for a score to topple the 4A Wildcats. Logan County fell in week two at Greenwood, 22-21. The Cougars would have to deal with a few schedule changes over the next few weeks due to Covid cancelations.

On October 16th, the Cougars had a blowout win over Hopkinsville, 31-7. Wyatt Blake had 250 yards and two touchdowns on the ground against the Tigers. Logan would end up winning three in a row against district opponents during that stretch.

The Panthers beat Edmonson County and Caverna before falling to the powerhouse 1A Crittenden County on October 23rd. Lennon Ries threw for 181 yards and four touchdowns against Caverna.

Russellville faced Crittenden County again for the first round of the playoffs. The Rockets won 42-13 to end the season for the Panthers.

Logan County won the opening playoff game against Hopkins County Central, 50-30. Hopkinsville ended the season for Logan County in the second round. The final was 42-20.

During the nine-game season for Logan County, five quarterbacks combined for 999 yards passing. Davin Yates led the team with 307 yards. Corbin Rayno finished with 280. Wyatt Blake passed for 223 yards. Braxton Baptiste threw for 167 yards in two games before a season-ending injury.

Wyatt Blake was the leading rusher with 653 yards. Ryan Rayno ran for 259. Rooster Woodard collected 231 yards on the ground.

Rooster Woodard had 428 receiving yards and seven touchdowns through the air. Jaden Sells caught 15 passes for 250 yards.

For Russellville, Lennon Ries threw for 949 yards and 11 touchdowns. Jaquis Todd was the leading receiver with 363 yards and four touchdowns. Jackson Hampton had 261 yards and three scores.

Jovari Gamble had 839 yards on the ground with six touchdowns. Chevis Elliott ran for 315 yards and three touchdowns.
