Logan County finally got the 2021 season rolling with a home-opening doubleheader against Allen County on Tuesday. The Patriots won both games by small margins. The girls fell 42-39, while the boys suffered a 43-42 setback.

Gracie Borders scored 15 points for the Lady Cougars in the first game. Emerson McKinnis had seven on the night. Abby Hinton nailed two 3-pointers for six points. Kadyn Costello finished with five on the night.

The boys opened the season on Tuesday after several COVID cancelations last week. The Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (3-1) defeated the Cougars 43-42.

Both the boys and girls are scheduled to host Franklin-Simpson tonight for a district doubleheader.
