Auburn Fire Department earns December Business Beautification award

Auburn Fire Department

On Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, the Logan County Beautification Committee of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, had the privilege of awarding the Auburn Fire Department as the December Business Winner.

Keith Batchelor, President of the Logan Beautification Committee, was proud to present Mayor Mike Hughes with a certificate in recognition of all the hard work in restoring an old dealership into a beautiful fire department. He thanked the many volunteers, members of the city council, and others.

The original building was built in 1938 by the Coke family. The Auburn City Council voted to purchase the buildings in 2014. Soon after, the demolition work began to bring the main building back to its original state.

The mission of the Logan County Beautification Committee is to enhance the visual beauty of Logan County, preserve its historical values, and to promote community for the common good of its residents and businesses. The committee is looking to award qualifying residential, commercial, or entrances at least once a month. If you would like to nominate a property, please visit or come to the chamber to get your nomination form. Give us a call at 270-726-2206 for further assistance.
