Michael Lynn “Mike” Meador, age 75, of Franklin, died Friday, May 19, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 21 at Crafton Funeral Home.
A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Carlile Meador and Mattie Lou Stewart Meador. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Partinger and Loretta Cotter and his son in law, Gary Crafton.
Mike was an avid fisherman who loved making music (on any instrument) and writing songs. He was saved and Baptized at Salmon’s General Baptist Church in 1996. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
Mike loved his family and you weren’t around him long without hearing a joke or a humorous tall tale.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Farmer Meador of Franklin; children, Jennifer Crafton, Derek Meador, Amy Talley (Brian) and Molly Downey (Raygo) all of Franklin; sister, Jayne Delk of Louisville; grandchildren, Aaron Talley (Jordan), Drew Talley (Christina), Lauren Talley (Madison), Caden Talley, Anne Hayden Satterly (Landon), Brittney Brown (Adam), Brandon Meador, Zach Meador, Sydney Downey, Marlesha Downey, Myah Downey and Neiko Downey; great grandchildren, Lennyn Talley, Lucy Talley, Eloise Talley and Annie Jo Satterly.
