A former Franklin native, Harriet Ann Booker Cummings, age 73, of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 12:15 p.m. at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center of Nashville, Tennessee.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services were held Saturday, June 20.
Harriet was born Nov. 11, 1946 in Franklin to the late Harry Booker and the late Jo Evelyn Booker. She is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Booker and a brother, Billy Joe Booker.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James “Jim” Cummings of Lebanon, Tennessee; two sons, Jerry Searcy (Kim) of Bowling Green and Joel Searcy (Misti) of Danville, Virginia; a step son, Brad Cummings (Jamie) of Franklin; a brother, Bobby Booker of Bartlett, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Jared, Jake, Kaylee, Adam and Kara Searcy, Jacee Cummings and Cassadee Cummings.
Harriet was a member of the Cooks Methodist Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She was a retired public health nurse consultant for the state of Tennessee.
She loved making memories with her family and taking care of people. She was known for her baking skills, winning her many blue ribbons at the Wilson County Fair.
