Jonathan Lee Van Blaricom, age 47, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at 2:34 a.m. at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

Arrangements were under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. No services are scheduled.

John was born September 3rd, 1971 in Anderson County, South Carolina to Lester Allen Van Blaricom of Lillian, Alabama and Pat Kernels of Anderson, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Wanda Louise Perdue.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa "Missy" Dianne Perdue Van Blaricom; a son, Michael Alexander; great nephews, Jeffrey Coleman, Brenton Coleman and Taylor Coleman; mother, Pat Kernels of Anderson, South Carolina; father, Lester Allen Van Blaricom of Lillian, Alabama; and a sister, Sydney Brown of Anderson, South Carolina.

John attended Troy State University where he received a bachelor's degree in social work. He owned and operated, along with his wife, Peaceful Solutions Counseling Services in Franklin.
