Wayne Ray King, II, age 84, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. at The Medical Center in Franklin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.
Cremation was chosen, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Ray was born July 19, 1935 in Hopkinsville to the late Wayne Ray King and the late Gertie Dorris King. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy King; and a brother, Jeffrey King.
Ray is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy Hester King of Franklin; a son, Steve King (Stacie) of Franklin; a grandson, Steven King (LeAnna) of Franklin; a granddaughter, Brittany King of Bowling Green; a brother, Tommy King (Mary Jo) of Hopkinsville; six great grandchildren and one niece, Dana Baker (Cruz) of Murray.
Ray was the operating superintendent for the Franklin Electric Plant Board for 39 years. He was a member of the Grand Lakes Yacht Club and American Legion Post #62.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday, July 25 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
