Rebecca Vejr Johnson, age 90, of Franklin, passed Aug. 29, 2019 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Ms. Johnson was born Aug. 24, 1929 to the late Orion Edward Garrett and Elizabeth May Woodward.

Along with her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband George Paul Vejr and two brothers, John Garrett and Thurman Garrett.

Ms. Johnson is survived by her husband, Jimmy Johnson; son, Patrick (Kathleen Goedecke) Vejr of Franklin; daughter, Peggy Lynne (Ken Alan) Bishop of Hoover, Alabama; grandchildren, Kristopher Bishop, Nickolas (Kate) Bishop, Jakob Vejr; great great grandchild, Erik Bishop; step son; Jimmy (Jennifer) Johnson of Denver, Colorado; sister in law, Dovie Garrett.

Ms. Johnson was a retired school teacher, with 40 plus years of teaching.

Funeral service for Ms. Johnson was held Sunday, Sept. 1, at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with The Rev. Steven W. VanHooser officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Kristopher Bishop, Nickolas Bishop, Ken Bishop, Jakob Bishop, Jimmy Johnson.

Private burial followed at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Franklin.
