Sue Hammock, age 77, of Franklin, passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at 5:12 p.m. at TriStar/Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
Ms. Hammock chose cremation.
Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Sue was born on Sept. 1, 1943 in Simpson County to the late John Douglas Gregory and the late Mildred Harp Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James William Hammock; a sister, Deanette Stevens and a brother, David Henry Gregory and three infant siblings.
She is survived by four children, Douglas Hammock of Franklin, Sharon King of Franklin, Carolyn Roberts of Franklin and Charley Hammock of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren, Alecia Powell, Michael King, Johnathan King, Eric Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Tyler Hammock, Gabbi Clark and Gracey Hammock; five great-grandchildren, Rilee Powell, Jayden Powell, Hope Roberts, Aiden Hammock and Briar Clark; three sisters, Lindria McClain of Franklin, Ann Turner of Hartford City, Indiana and April Anderson (Ricky) of Hartford City, Indiana.
Sue was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin. She worked in the fabric department at Wal-Mart for many years. Sue loved working in her flowerbeds.
