Ruby Imogene Ware Johnson, age 99, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 8:50 p.m. at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.
There will be a private graveside service with a public memorial service at a later date.
Ruby was born Oct. 12, 1920 in Warren County to her late father, George Atlas Ware and to her late mother, Evie Martin Ware. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul C. Johnson; three brothers, Mose Byrum, Fred Ware and Earl Ware; four sisters, Eunice Stuart, Josephine Brown, Virginia Wells and Joan Payne.
She is survived by her three children, Don C. Johnson (Becky) of Bloomington, Indiana, Roger D. Johnson (Joyce) of Bowling Green, Martha Gallaher (William) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Rhonda Neiderauer of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Laura Luckey, Megan and Adam Neiderauer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Franklin Church of Christ. She was employed by Genesco and was a seamstress there. After retirement, she continued to make dresses and do alterations to keep her busy.
