A Nashville woman was arrested after two Franklin women were shot at a Spears Avenue residence on Friday.

A Franklin Police press release says police responded to a disturbance at 1:13 p.m. at 809 Spears Avenue. When officers arrived they located Paula D. Cashman, 66, in the driveway allegedly holding a revolver. The release says she allegedly told police she shot two women.

Officers located the shooting victims, Linda Overstreet, 69, and Catherine Root, 29, inside the residence. Both were taken by Franklin-Simpson Ambulance Service to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Cashman was charged with attempted murder, assault, wanton endangerment and receiving stolen -- firearm.

She was lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center.
