Gentlemen's Unlimited Thanksgiving Meal

The Gentlemen's Unlimited Club is serving Thanksgiving meals on Nov. 28. Anyone in need of a dinner is asked to call by 10 a.m. the day of, or stop by Elevated Missionary Baptist Church on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information, call 270-586-5322.

Christmas Family Fun Night

The Goodnight Memorial Library, 121 Brown Road, is hosting a Christmas Family Fun Night from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 3. Visitors can make a craft, have photos taken with Santa and enjoy refreshments. The event is free. The Friends of the Library will also be having a book sale during the event.

Candlelighting service

Hillsdale United Methodist Candlelighting service is taking place on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. For $5, participants can reserve a votive in memory or in honor of a loved one. Toy and Coat Drive

The 15th Annual Toy and Coat Drive for the children of Simpson County sponsored by Cash Express is underway. Toys, coats, shoes and canned non-perishable food items are being accepted through Dec. 13. For more information, contact Cash Express at 420 N. Main St. or call 270-586-7706.

Hometown Holiday Craft Bazaar

The 9th Annual Hometown Holiday Craft Bazaar is taking place on Dec. 14 at First United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendors at the event will offer handcrafted items, boutique clothing, home and holiday décor, woodworking, primitives, jewelry, pottery, cutlery, personalization and other items.
