A total of 67.44 inches of measurable rain was recorded in Franklin during 2019, which is 17.57 inches more than the calendar year average of 49.87 inches.

The 2019 rain total was 1.91 inches more than recorded during 2018.

The most rain recorded during a single calendar day in 2019 was 3.1 inches on Oct. 6.

The month of June was the wettest month with 12.5 inches of rainfall while September was the driest month with .5 inches of rain.

There were eight months with more than average rain and four months with below average rain.

Measurable rain was recorded on 90 days during 2019.

The only significant snow during the year was two inches on Jan. 20. There was also a light snow on Nov.11.

The high temperature for 2019 was not recorded until the first two days of October, which reached 95 degrees. There were three other months that 94 degrees was the high temperature, reached the first time on June 5.

The low temperature for the year was 11 degrees reached on Jan. 21 and 31.

The month of July had the highest monthly average daily temperature, which was 87 degrees while January had the lowest monthly average daily temperature, which was 11 degrees.
