Warren RECC Annual Meeting
Warren RECC's annual meeting is July 11 at South Warren High School on Nashville Road in Bowling Green. Doors open at 3 p.m., the business meeting begins at 6 p.m. Music by the group United, formerly known as the Crossmen, begins at 7 p.m. A carnival for children begins at 3 p.m. in the gym.
Stuff the Bus Cookout
A cookout to support Franklin-Simpson County schools and the Back to School Bash program will be at German American Bank, 303 North Main Street, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 12 selling sack lunches with a choice of burger or hot dog, chips and drink for $5. All the money raised will stay in Simpson County.
The Auburn Community Blood Drive at New Friendship Baptist Church sponsored by Church Women United is taking place in the fellowship hall, 5030 Friendship Road, on July 12 from noon to 6 p.m. For more information visit redcrossblood.org. Garden Spot Team Challenge Deadline
The deadline to sign up for the Team Challenge in the Annual Garden Spot 5k Run/Walk is July 12. Teams with 10 or more members can participate in the challenge. The race is scheduled to be on August 10.
Touch a Truck
The Frozen Spoon will sponsor the 2nd Annual Touch a Truck event from 6-9 p.m. on July 12 on the West side of the square. Kids will receive froyo discount coupons.
Summer Nights Concert Series
The Franklin-Simpson Renaissance Summer Nights Concert Series continues July 12 with a performance by the JD Shelburne band on the Courthouse Square bandstand from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The band will perform country and rock and roll during the concert, which is free to attend.
Franklin Family Movie Nights
Franklin Family Movie Nights resume July 13 with a presentation of the movie "Incredibles Two" on the Courthouse lawn. The show begins at dusk. Admission is free. Saturday night is Special Abilities Night and Free Ice Cream Night.
The Dueling Grounds Distillery will have a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. on July 18 to commemorate joining the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour.
The Franklin-Simpson Farmer's Market will host the Hometown Harvest Dinner on July 19. The meal will consist of products that were grown or produced locally. Cost is $45 per person. For tickets, call Kim Roberts at 270-776-1641.
The Stewart reunion will begin at 10 a.m. on July 27 at Franklin Church of Christ, 700 S. Main Street. Entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. with a local dulcimer group performing and a pot luck lunch will be served at noon. For more information, call 270-586-6827.
