RKW North America Inc., a German industrial film manufacturer, is expanding their existing facility in Simpson County to create 30 full-time jobs.

RKW North America Inc. is expanding their existing facility in Simpson County with an investment of more than $18.8 million to create 30 full-time jobs, according to the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority.

"This exciting announcement is a great example of how Kentucky has become America's center of engineering and manufacturing excellence," said Govenor Matt Bevin in a February 2019 press release.

The plans involve constructing a new 30,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility and adding new state of the art equipment. Plans are also in place to add a new extrusion line and print line to their operation and will modify existing extrusion line with blown film and print capacity. The company will also implement a comprehensive training program for their new employees.

"We are grateful that RKW North America has been a vital part of the simpson County community for many years," Bevin said. "The jobs being created by this latest expansion will positively impact families throughout the region and we look forward to celebrating RKW's continued growth now and for generations to come."
