Simpson County has confirmed 12 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The 12th death was listed in the Monday, Jan. 4 COVID-19 report from the Barren River District Health Department

According to the release, Simpson County’s total confirmed cases at 1,242 since the pandemic began, and of those cases there have been 1,043 recoveries leaving 187 active cases.

A total of 19,477 cases have been reported in the health department district of which 16,515 have recovered with 221 deaths leaving 2,741 active cases.

The district health department reports 1,795 cases in Logan County and 10,530 cases in Warren County.

The Allen County Health Department reports 1,215 cases in Allen County as of Jan. 4.

A Norton Call Center has been setup for those with questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. The call center is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week and can be reached at 1-800-722-5725.
