Franklin Police say an unidentified male entered an office at Graves Gilbert Clinic/Red Oak Medical Plaza on South Main Street and allegedly stole a wristlet wallet out of a purse on Tuesday, Dec. 29.

Police say the suspect then allegedly used stolen credit — debit cards to purchase $1,220 worth of prepaid gift cards at Wal-Mart and purchased items valued at $35 at T-Mart. The male also allegedly attempted to use the card at Dollar Tree, but the transaction was denied.

Police say the male was driving a maroon-colored Nissan four-door passenger car. He is described as a black male with a possible speech impediment.

A Shelbyville, Tennessee man was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Scottsville Road at the intersection of Page Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Franklin-Simpson Ambulance Service transported Omar Haji, 27, to The Medical Center at Franklin after the collision that happened just after 7:30 a.m.

The Franklin Police Collision Report said Haji was the driver of a 2005 Ford Focus involved in the collision with a 2001 Toyota RAV4 driven by Jonathon K. Hernandez, 34, of Scottsville.

Officer John Thompson investigated.

A Franklin man was arrested on four drug related charges following a traffic stop by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, Dec. 20.

James Daniel Proctor, 62, was charged with possession of a controlled substance — third or more offense — methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance — drug unspecified, drug paraphernalia — buy or possession and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

The arrest citation said the vehicle was stopped on Scottsville Road just after 3 a.m. for Proctor allegedly not wearing a seat belt.

The arrest citation said suspected methamphetamine was among the items allegedly found in the vehicle. Proctor was also allegedly in possession of a white crystal substance.

The arrest citation also said the driver of the vehicle was cited for Proctor not wearing a seat belt.

Deputy sheriff Quintin Wright made the arrest.

A Franklin man was arrested in connection with the theft of more than $1,288 from a restaurant where he was employed.

Franklin Police arrested Tony James Muse, 19, on charges of theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine.

The arrest citation the money was allegedly in a moneybag taken from Wendy’s on North Main Street.

The citation said after police made contact with Muse he allegedly put $80 in the back seat of a police vehicle and also allegedly had a bag containing suspected methamphetamine residue.

Officer Jacoby Sharklet arrested Muse on Saturday, Dec. 19, the same day as the alleged theft.

A Franklin man was cited on three drug related charges after police responded to a call at a Peach Street home on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Walter Eugene Lawrence, 40, was cited for possession of a controlled substance — LSD, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia buy or possession.

The Franklin Police Offense Report said suspected LSD, suspected marijuana and items with marijuana residue were among the items allegedly at the residence.

Officer Brian Wise issued the citation.

Franklin Police arrested a Shepherdsville man on four charges following a traffic stop on Nashville Road.

Larry Geralds, 44, was charged with failure to produce insurance card, theft of identity of another without consent, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia buy or possession.

The arrest citation said Geralds originally gave the arresting officer another person’s name, date of birth and Social Security number.

The citation said marijuana and a scale were allegedly found in the vehicle.

Officer Troy Lamastus made the arrest at about 12:10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.

A Franklin man was injured when the van he was driving and a semi truck collided on Russellville Road on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Taken by F-S Ambulance Service to The Medical Center at Franklin was 58 year-old John W. Brady.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office Collision Report said Brady was the driver of 1995 Ford Club Wagon E150 involved in the collision with a 1995 International driven by Jeramie S. Stratton, 46, of Auburn.

Deputy sheriff Matt Freeman investigated the collision that happened at about 8:40 a.m.

A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Scottsville Road and Harding Road injured two people on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Kelsey C. Pannell, 29, of Bowling Green, was taken by Franklin-Simpson Ambulance Service to The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Dewayne G. Reid, 49, of Lewisburg was taken by F-S Ambulance Service to The Medical Center at Franklin.

The Franklin Police Collision Report said the vehicles in the collision were a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Pannell and a 2016 Jeep Patriot driven by Reid.

Officer Brian Wise investigated the collision that happened at about 12:30 p.m.
