The lobby of the Franklin Police Department is closed to the public until further notice. Call 9-1-1 for an emergency. Call 270-586-7167 for non emergencies.

The action to close the lobby is part of the COVID-19 procedures implemented by the police department.

Also until further notice, police will respond only to in progress and emergency calls; however, police will still respond to traffic collisions that do not occur in parking lots. Parking lot collisions will require a civilian collision report available on the internet. Call 270-586-7167 for the website information.

Non emergency calls will be taken over the phone. The dispatcher will take the callers contact information and an officer will call within a short time period.

Copies of accident reports and police reports can be emailed or faxed to those wanting a copy. Again Call 270-586-7167 for the website information.

The police department’s COVID-19 procedures are available on the Franklin Police Department Ky Facebook page.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office lobby is still open to the public; however the sheriff’s office requests that the number of people in the lobby be limited to one person per visit to conduct sheriff’s office business.

Also, there is hand sanitizer available for the public in the lobby.

The sheriff’s office lobby is open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The phone number is 270-586-7425.
