A Franklin man was injured and a Franklin woman arrested after an alleged assault on Blackjack Road late night on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
According to a press release, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5127 Blackjack Road in reference to a 911 hang-up. Deputies arrived on the scene and located Curtis Darl Clark, Jr., 30, with cuts and a wound to his body.
The press release said through investigation it was determined that Clark and his girlfriend, Raiven Ciara Hite, 26, were involved in an argument at the Blackjack Road location.
During the argument Hite allegedly cut Clark with a knife and later allegedly shot him with a handgun as he was attempting to leave.
Hite left the scene after the alleged incident.
Clark was air lifted to a nearby hospital for injuries he sustained and was listed in stable condition.
Hite was later located and questioned regarding the incident. The press release says she was arrested Thursday, Oct. 8 and lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center and charged with assault first-degree domestic violence and assault second-degree domestic violence.
