Due to the state of emergency declared by the Governor, Simpson County Detention Center is canceling all visitation and outside volunteers including church until further notice.

There are no reports of the Coronavirus at the facility, but the detention center says action is being taken to prevent the spread of the virus to the facility.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared the state of emergency on March 6 due to the state’s first confirmed case of Coronavirus.
