Individuals who are age 70 and over are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Simpson County. Simpson County Judge/ Executive Mason Barnes said he has been told there is currently backlog of callers who are interested in receiving the vaccine, and registering may require more than one phone call attempt to register for the vaccination.

Those who call to register will receive a return call notifying them when their vaccine is scheduled.

The Moderna vaccine is currently being offered in Simpson County.
