Franklin-Simpson Fire Rescue received a total of 476 calls in 2019, an increase of 33 calls from the 2018 total of 443.

There was one call to a structure fire in the month of December, which took place at an Auburn residence on Dec. 23.

The remaining calls for the month included 11 to traffic collisions, including five involving personal injury along with one to a vehicle striking a pedestrian.

There were two calls to provide assistance to the Franklin-Simpson Ambulance Service, two calls to unauthorized burning, one vehicle fire, one leaves on fire call, one smoke scare and one heavy equipment fire.

The remaining calls were false alarms, the fire was out on arrival, the call was unfounded or firefighters were cancelled while en route.
