United Way of Southern Kentucky is investing $41,150 in Simpson County programs and services for its July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 funding period.

Twelve local programs provided through eight service providers will receive the allocated campaign dollars and donor designations.

Simpson County’s allocation includes $16,400 for kindergarten readiness and college and career readiness; $12,870 for access to affordable health care and $11,880 for safety net programs that provide access to basic needs.

The funds were allocated by volunteers led by Simpson County United Way Chair Steve Thurmond.

The United Way of Southern Kentucky serves ten area counties, including Simpson County.
