Woodland Meadow Restoration
Master Gardener Kathee Morgeson shares how a meadow is being recreated at Lost River Cave at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Cornerstone Building. The event is sponsored by the Franklin Garden Club and is free to all.
7th Annual Black History Month Pioneer Celebration
The 7th Annual Black History Month Pioneer Celebration will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 16 at 1545 Bowling Green Road in Scottsville, Ky. The Event will feature the Fisk Jubilee Singers. Simpson Co. Democratic Party Meeting
The Simpson County Democratic Party will meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 20 at the Old Favorite, 118 W. Kentucky Ave. All Democrats are invited to attend.
Black History Program
The Loving Chapel Baptist Church, 675 Loving Chapel Road, will have a Black History program themed “Better Days are Coming” at 4 p.m. on Feb. 22. Guest Pastor will be Ford Husky and Powerhouse Ministries. All are welcome.
SKY FAME Recruitment
SKY FAME will host its 4th annual Recruitment Night at 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 at SKYCTC Franklin-Simpson Center. The event is for any student who is interested in applying for the Fall 2020 SKY FAME program. Attendees are encouraged to bring their spouse/parents to the event. More than $750 worth of door prizes will be given away to prospective students. Dream, Believe & Achieve
The African American Heritage Center is sponsoring an event to commemorate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Feb. 27 at Simpson Elementary. Doors Open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. Darryl Van Leer will be Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner will follow the program. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
