Franklin-Simpson Fire Rescue received 33 calls during December 2020.

F-S Fire Rescue received 369 calls during 2020, which is 107 less than the 476 received in 2019.

December’s calls included two structure fires, which was a chicken coop on Nashville Road on December 9 and a house on Roosevelt Street on Dec. 19.

There were 14 traffic collisions including eight involving personal injury with one listed as involving a pedestrian; two vehicle fires consisting of one commercial vehicle and one passenger vehicle and one dumpster fire.

There was one a motorist assist, a CO alarm and a smoke scare.

The remaining calls were five false alarms, four calls were unfounded, one fire was out on arrival and one call was cancelled en route.
