The Franklin-Simpson Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend a zone change for construction of Phase Three of Windsor Park Subdivision on 31-W north at its meeting on Aug. 4.

The proposed zone change from agriculture to single family residential for almost 48 acres next to Lewis Memorial Home will now go to the Franklin City Commission for consideration of final approval.

Also at the meeting, final development plans for three projects were approved.

The final development plans include a new American Legion Post 62 building at 3478 Nashville Road, a multi-plex apartment complex on McLendon Road and a second duplex at 538 Bryant Street.

The multi-plex on McLendon Road will consist of ten buildings with four residential units in each building and a community building.
