"Steelheart," the first in the book trilogy by author Brandon Sanderson, retells the classic story of revenge. It combines superpowers, romance, revenge, and major plot twists into a well-rounded story.

Its main character, David, lives in a world where people with superpowers, called epics, exist. He is set on taking revenge for the death of his father. His father was killed for knowing a secret that should have been kept hidden. He had made the invincible Steelheart bleed. Out of fear and anger, Steelheart killed David's father and buried the bank they were in underground.

It's been 10 long years, and David has spent his time studying epics and a group called the Reckoners who are dedicated to killing them. David, with his knowledge of epics and the Reckoners help, create a fake epic and lure Steelheart into fighting them. Despite not knowing Steelheart's weakness, David and the Reckoners' fight Steelheart. With many accidents and catastrophes, David is able to kill Steelheart and leaves the battlefield with Steelheart's skull, which had turned to steel. You may now have some questions, such as, what is David's relationship to the other Reckoners and why do the Reckoners kill epics? And maybe the biggest question, what is Steelheart's weakness? All of these questions, and more, will be answered when you read Brandon Sanderson's "Steelheart."
