Fire truck moved to historical society museum for exhibit

A fire truck was moved July 20, from the old fire station behind the extension office to the new Simpson County Historical Museum with the help of the fire chief, residents from the jail and volunteer community members. “We pushed it part way and we pulled it part way,” said James Henry Snider, president of the Historical society. “It was a little hard to get up the first ramp, but with all the help and the team work it wasn’t too difficult.” The historical society is accepting pictures or old fire department equipment for the exhibit.
