Small Town Christmas Photo

Carolers dress in period clothing and sing holiday tunes on the square during the 2019 Small Town Christmas event.

The Franklin-Simpson Renaissance Small Town Christmas is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5. Visitors can see Santa from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and hand deliver a wish list to receive a surprise from the candy cane chute. In addition, a community Christmas tree decorating event is taking place on the corner of Main and Cedar Streets. Community members are encouraged to stop by one of the downtown merchants between Nov. 20 and Dec. 3 to pick-up a free ornament to decorate. Bring ornaments to the community Christmas tree between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and hang it on the tree. The lighting of the square ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact F-S Renaissance at 270-586-8482 or by following the renaissance Facebook page.
