Justin Kirby’s dream of opening a funeral service in his own community is taking shape and he is looking forward to providing a space for those who are going through some of the toughest times in their lives.

“Burying someone you love is difficult and should be respected and met with the utmost compassion. With the opening of Kirby Funeral Services soon, I am both excited and respectful to what it will mean to be able to serve the community I love and live in and have called my home for the last eight-plus years,” said Kirby.

Recently selling his funeral home in Providence, Ky., which was near and dear to his heart, including the people there, he felt it was important to pursue what God has made available and wants him to do in Logan County.

“It’s with great honor to be able to serve and I am looking forward to everyone being able to see what my wife and I have done with the old Save A Lot building that had become an eyesore as you come into this beautiful town. We really have spent a lot of time and preparation to give the people of Logan County what they deserve and that will be seen as we announce the opening very soon.”

According to Kirby, the new funeral home will be open sometime in the spring. He says if anyone has questions to please call him or stop by, he would love to show you what’s going on.
