On Jan. 19, the Russellville Police Department responded to S. Franklin Street in reference to a disturbance call.

While on scene, officers determined that Tekulve Walker, 41, of Russellville, had assaulted his mother.

After being advised he was under arrest, Walker became combative, striking officers and barricading himself inside of the residence. Officers were able to talk to Walker and later took him into custody without incident.

Walker was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital for medical clearance and later lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

Walker is charged with assault 4th degree (domestic violence), resisting arrest, assault 3rd degree (police officer), and menacing.

Assisting agencies include the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
