Franklin- Simpson Wildcat football seniors running back Tre' Bass, and offensive lineman Jack Randolph were selected to two All-State Teams. Both players were selected to the 2018 All-USA Kentucky First Team and to the Courier Journal All-State Teams with Bass selected to the First Team and Randolph selected to the Second Team.

"[The selection] means everything, man, I'm really at a loss for words," Bass said. "I am blessed with the best teammates I could ask for and the best coaching staff ever, they've led me and motivated me to be the best me and I just go out there and leave it all on the line. I made all state honorable mention so I made it one of my many goals that I've achieved this year to be first team all state. Thankful and blessed to be selected."

Randolph shared his former teammates sentiment.

"It's a great feeling to be honored with such a prestigious award," Randolph said. "It shows all the work my teammates and coaches have put in to get our players rewarded."

Bass and Randolph are part of the Wildcats' football team that finished 26-4 the past two seasons with two state championships. This season, Bass had the best season on record as a running back. He had 172 carries for school records in yardage with 2,101 and for rushing touchdowns with 30. With a kickoff return and a reception, he set the school record for touchdowns scored in a season overall with 32.

Randolph was a part of an offensive line, which anchored one of the best offenses in Franklin-Simpson school history. They gained 5,903 total yards (5,068 rushing with 835 passing), averaging 393.53 total yards of offense per game (averaging 337.87 yards rushing with 55.6 yards passing). The team scored 601 points, averaging 40.67 points per game.

"Two very deserving young men," Wildcats' Head Coach Doug Preston said. "They represent us with greatness on and off the field. I'm always excited to see our players hard work, and commitment to excellence recognized."
