Simpson County Board of Education member David Webster has been reappointed as the board's chairman for 2019. This is Webster's 11th year as board of education chairman.

Board of education reappointments for 2019 were made during a special called board organizational meeting on Thursday, Jan. 3.

The other board reappointments include board member Nancy Uhls for a third year as vice chairman; Simpson County Schools Superintendent Jim Flynn as board secretary, Amanda Spears as treasurer and Mark Thurmond as attorney.

Also approved were dates for board of education work sessions and regular monthly meetings during 2019.

The Simpson County Board of Education's next regular meeting is Thursday, Jan. 24 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Simpson County Schools Central Office.
