A draft of the Simpson County School System's 2019-20 school year calendar was approved by the Simpson County Board of Education at its regular meeting on Thursday, Dec. 13.

The draft calendar has the first day of class for the school year on Aug. 14, 2019 with the final day of class on May 22, 2020.

The final version of the calendar still has to be adopted by the board of education.

The board approved all 15 items it was asked to consider for approval including the Franklin-Simpson High School Cheerleader's trip to a national high school cheerleading competition at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida in Feb. 7-11, 2019.

Quality Yard, Inc. was awarded the school district's landscaping contract for 2019 at a cost of $2,675 per month for 12 months. Quality Yard, which currently provides mowing throughout the school district, submitted the lowest of three bids received for the landscaping contract.

The board also heard 19 various reports and presentations from Lincoln Elementary students.

Hmm, good I think this is good schedule for the students to study. In those days’ students will feel easy to do their assignment help online because on those days they will have no enough to do outdoor activities.
